And now Fox News hit Tucker Carlson with a threat that turned into one giant mistake.
Tucker Carlson made good on his word and debuted his new show on Twitter.
The two, 10-minute monologues posted on Carlson’s account garnered a whopping 169 million views.
Fox News reacted by trying to censor Carlson.
The network’s legal counsel dispatched a cease-and-desist letter demanding Carlson stop posting new episodes of his show to Twitter or face legal consequences.
“Fox News has sent a cease-and-desist letter to Tucker Carlson as he ramps up a competing series on Twitter that drew a combined 169 million views for its first two episodes,” Axios exclusively reported.
Carlson’s lawyer, Harmeet Dhillon, fired back and slammed Fox News for trying to muzzle the network’s number-one star.
Dhillon warned Fox News that continuing to pull dirty tricks to keep Carlson on ice would backfire financially and not serve the interests of viewers or shareholders.
“Fox News continues to ignore the interests of its viewers, not to mention its shareholder obligations,” a statement from Dhillon read.
Fox News wants to block Carlson from broadcasting through the rest of his contract – which runs through the 2024 election – as management now sees the real threat to Fox News’s livelihood in the aftermath of yanking Carlson off the air.
Dhillon alluded to the fact that Fox News lost more than 30 percent of its primetime audience following the fateful decision to bench Carlson.
“Doubling down on the most catastrophic programming decision in the history of the cable news industry, Fox is now demanding that Tucker Carlson be silent until after the 2024 election,” Dhillon added.
But Dhillon also warned Fox News that baseless legal threats would not bully Carlson into acquiescing to the network’s irrational scheme to silence his voice.
“Tucker will not be silenced by anyone,” Dhillon concluded. “He is a singularly important voice on matters of public interest in our country, and will remain so.”
Fox News executives thought getting rid of Carlson would be no different than firing Bill O’Reilly or when Megyn Kelly left.
Both Kelly and O’Reilly were positioned as the faces of Fox News, but ratings did not dip when they left.
That lulled executives into the delusion that the real star was Fox News’s brand itself.
But the overnight plunge in ratings following Carlson’s sacking painted a painful reality.
And now Fox News is fighting dirty using every trick in the book to try and punish Carlson.
But this scheme could backfire should Fox News’s vindictive streak end up obliterating whatever confidence its remaining viewers still have left in the outlet.

Grassley delivered a speech on the Senate floor that contained the shocking discovery that the FBI knows the Burisma executive made 17 secret audio recordings of conversations with Joe and Hunter Biden about the alleged bribe.
The FBI schemed to hide this from members of the House Oversight Committee by redacting the information.
But Senator Grassley destroyed the cover-up.
“The 1023 produced to that House Committee redacted reference that the foreign national who allegedly bribed Joe and Hunter Biden allegedly has audio recordings of his conversations with them,” Grassley declared. “17 total recordings.”
“According to the 1023, the foreign national possesses 15 audio recordings of phone calls between him and Hunter Biden,” Grassley added. “According to the 1023, the foreign national possesses two audio recordings of phone calls between him and then-Vice President Joe Biden.”
The FBI also tried to conceal the fact that the FD-1023 form contained further evidence that Joe Biden lied to the American people when he said he never discussed Hunter Biden’s business deals with his son.
“The 1023 also indicates that then-Vice President Joe Biden may have been involved in Burisma employing Hunter Biden,” Grassley stated.
The FBI’s been sitting on these ticking time bombs ever since 2020.
FBI leadership hid this Biden bribe allegation because exposure would have helped Donald Trump win the 2020 election.
And now that whistleblowers came forward to inform Republicans that the FBI is still running a protection racket for the Biden family, the Department of Justice accelerated the Mar-a-Lago witch hunt against Donald Trump.

Brooks, whose hits include “Friends in Low Places,” “Lost in You,” and “The Thunder Rolls” – and has sold 148 million albums worldwide – announced his opposition to the Bud Light boycott.
In an interview with Billboard executive editor Melinda Newman, Brooks said he planned to serve Bud Light at his new Nashville bar, ‘Low Places’ Bar & Honky-Tonk.
“I want it to be a place you feel safe in, I want it to be a place where you feel like there are manners and people like one another,” Brooks stated. “And yes, we’re going to serve every brand of beer. We just are. It’s not our decision to make. Our thing is this, if you [are let] into this house, love one another. If you’re an @sshole, there are plenty of other places on lower Broadway.”
John Rich said it was fine if Brooks chooses to serve Bud Light at his bar, but that he’d find that in Nashville – a popular tourist attraction of middle America in the red state of Tennessee – that Bud Light would be a big-time money loser.
“If Garth is serving Bud Light in his bar, that’s fine,” Rich said. “Garth can do that. Garth might find out not many people are going to order it. And at the end of the day, you have to put things in your establishment that people are going to purchase if you’re going to run a successful business. So, he might find that out.”

The dual standard of justice was the focus of statements by Republicans blasting Joe Biden interfering in the election by indicting Donald Trump.
Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) told Newsmax’s Eric Bolling that James Comey and Hillary Clinton both illegally possessed classified documents and faced no punishment because the Justice Department protects Democrats and the enemies of President Trump.
“I think it’s noteworthy that [former FBI Director] James Comey and the cast of characters that really initiated the Russian collusion hoax, that fraudulent investigation, exonerated Hillary Clinton in what I would consider far more egregious acts that violated Federal Records Act and also mishandling classified information, but they let her off the hook,” Johnson stated.
Tennessee Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn argued the Department of Justice and the FBI looked the other way on Hillary Clinton’s team destroying 33,000 emails after a congressional subpoena in the Benghazi investigation.

With Joe Biden indicting Donald Trump when Trump is leading Biden in the polls the weaponization of the government will be the top issue in the presidential campaign.
It may be the only issue.

Ninety-eight percent of federal cases end in a plea deal.
Maddow floated the idea of Smith and Attorney General Merrick Garland proposing a plea agreement where Donald Trump agrees to drop out of the presidential campaign and retire from politics in exchange for no jail time.
Maddow’s fellow MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell sat flabbergasted.
O’Donnell jumped in to perform damage control saying that that type of plea deal would confirm that Joe Biden only arrested Donald Trump to force him out of the presidential race due to the fear he could not defeat him in the polls.

Trump posted a video on Truth Social telling Americans he is an innocent man and the only reason Joe Biden is trying to throw him in jail is election interference.

Polls show Trump is by far and away the frontrunner for the GOP presidential nomination and got indicted by the Justice Department that reports to the man Trump may run against in 2024.
This is a Rubicon-crossing moment where many Americans believe the country now crossed over into becoming a third-world banana republic.
Democrats and the corporate media do not care about the consequences for the country.
They are possessed by a mad desire to destroy Donald Trump by any means necessary.
Anti-Trump special counsel Jack Smith is on a mission to jail Donald Trump and interfere in the 2024 presidential election.
But Smith’s quest hit a stumbling block.
And Jack Smith just got hit with some bad news about prosecuting Donald Trump.
Just before Smith indicted Trump on his bogus and sham charges Americans learned about the existence of a second grand jury in Florida.
Smith originally ran his investigation out of a grand jury in Washington, D.C.
That’s because Smith hoped to hold a kangaroo court with a stacked jury pulled from a pool where 95 percent of the residents are Democrats and where Smith could count on a reliable Trump-hating judge.
But the Florida grand jury convened because Smith knew he would lose a fight on venue.
The Sixth Amendment to the Constitution guarantees Americans the right to a trial in the venue where the government accused them of committing crimes.
And that means Smith would have to try his case in federal district court in Miami-Dade County.
U.S. District Court Judge Aileen Cannon won the assignment to the case.
Cannon was already skeptical of the Mar-a-Lago witch hunt as evidenced by her ruling last year granting Trump a special master to sort out documents protected by privilege from what the FBI raid team seized.
Trump also won 46 percent of the vote in Miami-Dade County which is home to a very MAGA enthusiast Cuban population.
Lawyers who worked as both prosecutors and defense attorneys in Miami told The Messenger’s Marc Caputo that the population in South Florida is very skeptical of the government and Smith faces a high bar to win a conviction.
“I would absolutely try this case in Washington D.C.,” former federal prosecutor Richard Gregorie told Caputo.
“People who operate in D.C. have no idea what it’s like down here. Prosecuting politicians is hard here,” Gregorie continued. “The people are just suspicious of government all over South Florida.”
In the 1990s and 2002 Gregorie failed to win convictions on public corruption charges against former Miami Mayors Julio Robaina and Raul Martinez.
Caputo filled in more background listing off the criminal cases against public officials where juries in Miami handed down acquittals.
“More recently, in 2019, other federal prosecutors lost a public corruption case against a former Miami Lakes mayor. And long before that, in the 1980s, federal prosecutors lost a bribery case against a politically active federal judge, Alcee Hastings, who beat the rap, was removed from office by the U.S. Senate and then won a congressional seat in 1992. He held office until his death in 2021,” Caputo reported.
Defense attorney David Oscar Markus won an acquittal last May in the case of former Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum.
Gillum lost to Ron DeSantis in the 2018 Florida gubernatorial election and then faced charges over lying to the FBI.
Markus declared it is nearly impossible to win a conviction against Trump in Miami.
“Forget documents, if Trump shot someone on Calle Ocho, a Miami jury would find him not guilty,” Markus exclaimed.
Attorney General Merrick Garland handpicked Smith for this case knowing Smith was a guided missile aimed squarely at destroying Trump’s political career.
Smith has a history of unjust and abusive prosecutions of Republicans as evidenced by a unanimous 8-0 Supreme Court verdict tossing Smith’s bribery conviction against former Virginia GOP Governor Bob McDonnell.
But if Smith thought he could set up a rigged kangaroo court in Washington, D.C., he was mistaken.
Joe Biden got some bad news.
Biden’s attempt at damage control went very poorly.
And now Joe Biden’s bribery scandal explodes as the FBI reveals one shocking document.
The FBI finally relented and allowed the members of the House Oversight Committee to view the FD-1023 form where a confidential human source informed the Bureau that Joe Biden allegedly accepted a $5 million bribe from a Burisma executive to influence U.S. policy towards the Ukrainian energy company.

According to the FD-1023 form, the confidential human source said the Burisma executive discussed Hunter’s role on the board. The confidential human source questioned why the Burisma executive needed his or her advice in acquiring access to U.S. oil if he had Hunter Biden on the board. The Burisma executive answered by referring to Hunter Biden as “dumb.”
The Burisma executive explained to the confidential source that Burisma had to “pay the Bidens” because Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin was investigating Burisma, and explained how difficult it would be to enter the U.S. market in the midst of that investigation.
The FBI trusted the source of this information and paid the informant $200,000 for past reliable information.
In the form, the source said he told the Burisma executive that the company needed to pay Joe and Hunter Biden $5 million apiece so Biden would allegedly lean on the Ukrainian prosecutor not to investigate the company.
“$5 million for one Biden, $5 million for the other Biden,” the source reportedly told the Burisma official.
Reporters asked Biden about the fact that a trusted source brought forward credible allegations of bribery against him.
Biden tried to wave off the seriousness of the accusations by making a joke.
“Where is all the money?” Biden laughingly asked.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz was furious and hammered Biden and his weaponized Department of Justice during an interview on Fox Business.
Cruz explained the federal government hasn’t turned up the payments to Biden because the DOJ is corrupt and too busy protecting Biden to investigate credible allegations against the leader of the Democrat Party.
Cruz stated:
We just heard Joe Biden demonstrate the absolute smugness of being insulated by the most politically corrupt Department of Justice in history and the most politically corrupt corporate media in history.
The two together, they surround him, they protect him. Joe Biden says, where’s the money? How does he know that? That they’re not going to find the money? Well, because DOJ is not looking. They don’t want to know the money. It’s the opposite of Watergate.
Follow the money. DOJ’s approach is hide from the money. Run from the money. It is disgraceful.
Burisma paid Hunter Biden $50,000 a month to sit on the board of directors despite Hunter Biden having no experience in the energy industry.
At the time, Joe Biden was in charge of Ukraine policy for the Obama administration.
The deal smelled fishy from the start.

And one CNN poll brings completely crushing news for Joe Biden.
There’s little enthusiasm from American voters for President Joe Biden to win reelection.
A CNN poll found last week that a majority of Americans are not crazy about a potential four more years of Biden.
The poll, which focused on the Democratic primary candidates, found that 66 percent of Americans think Biden winning in 2024 “would either be a setback or a disaster for the country.”
In contrast, a mere 33 percent of respondents think having Biden for a second term “would be a step forward or a triumph for the country.”
The poll also found Biden’s approval rating has fallen even more – from 42 percent at the beginning of the year down to 35 percent in May.
“And results from the same poll released earlier this week showed Biden’s approval rating for handling the presidency at 40%, among the lowest for any first-term president since Dwight Eisenhower at this point in their term,” the poll found.
Of course, a huge reason for Biden’s unpopularity is the horrendous state of the economy.
A Fox News poll found on Thursday that a whopping 83% of voters believe the economy is in negative shape, while only 18% believe it’s in good condition.
In fact, Biden is failing with voters on virtually every issue.
A recent Harvard-Harris survey found Biden’s approval rating from Americans to be “weak” on almost every major issue.
“Biden’s approval on his economy has remained stagnant over the past month, sitting at 39 percent since April. Less than half, 48 percent, approve of Biden ‘stimulating jobs,’ and 46 percent approve of his fight against terrorism. Even less, 43 percent, approve of his handling of foreign affairs, and just 39 percent approve of his handling of crime and violence across the country. Thirty-seven percent approve of his handling of inflation, and 38 percent approve of his handling of immigration,” Breitbart reported.
Biden is also losing support on illegal immigration.
The survey found: “Most identified illegal immigration as an at least somewhat serious issue” and “sixty percent said they believe the number of monthly border crossers has increased under Biden’s presidency, and 68 percent said they would support ‘stricter policies to reduce the flow of people coming across the border.’ Further, most, 53 percent, believe Biden’s border policies are ‘increasing the flow of drugs and crimes’ to the U.S.”
“Convincing the overall public that he deserves a second term could prove a challenge,” CNN concluded in their poll report.

Newly disclosed documents sent to Congress on Monday revealed the emergence of a second whistleblower within the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) investigation into Hunter Biden’s alleged tax fraud.
The whistleblower was fired from working on the case – as was the entire investigation team – after he expressed concerns about the way the investigation was being handled.
He was a special agent in the IRS’s international tax and financial crimes group and will join his supervisor in testifying before the House Ways and Means Committee.
The whistleblower, who had worked on the probe since 2018, wrote an email last week to seven senior IRS officials, including Commissioner Daniel Werfel, saying that he believes he was removed for doing the “right thing,” including raising internal alarms about the Justice Department “acting inappropriately.”
“As I’m sure you were aware, I was removed this week from a highly sensitive case … after nearly 5 years of work. I was not afforded the opportunity of a phone call directly from my [special agent in charge] or [assistant special agent in charge], even though this had been my investigation since the start,” the new whistleblower wrote according to the New York Post.
“There is a human impact to the decisions being made that no one in the government seems to care about or understand,” the 13-year veteran of the IRS added.
“I … have spent thousands of hours on the case, worked to complete 95% of the investigation.”
“For the last couple years, my [supervisor] and I have tried to gain the attention of our senior leadership about certain issues prevalent regarding the investigation. I have asked for countless … meetings with our chief and deputy chief, often to be left out on an island and not heard from,” the agent wrote.
The whistleblower also highlighted that the senior leadership’s operational procedures in the investigation had been “deeply troubling and unacceptable” and, instead of providing resources to the team, kept them “isolated.”
The agent added in his email: “The ultimate decision to remove the investigatory team from [redacted] without actually talking with that investigatory team, in my opinion was a decision made not to side with the investigators but to side with the US Attorney’s office and Department of Justice who we have been saying for some time has been acting inappropriately.”

Two reliable sources say that a phone conversation involving a Fox News legal representative has become a pivotal aspect in Tucker Carlson’s legal dispute against the embattled network.
Despite firing Carlson, he’s still under contract and the network reportedly plans to keep it that way until after the 2024 elections.
“As of right now, the plan remains the same: pay out Carlson’s contract and keep him on the sidelines through the 2024 elections,” a Fox News source told Breitbart. “They knew they would take a beating for this, but everyone — and I mean everyone — is pretty rattled. They weren’t expecting the blowback to be this bad. Hate to say it, but it’s clear that Rupert has lost a step or two.”
Podcaster Joe Rogan gave his opinion that the “smart” and “not stupid” thing for Fox News to do would be to pay out Tucker’s contract to keep him from becoming a threat.
“You’d be better off just giving him the same amount of money he made when he was on the air, then you would have with him opposing you,” Rogan said.
However, sources close to Carlson are accusing the network of fraud and breach of contract for allegedly leaking negative stories about him to the press.
“Fox News’ Chief Legal Counsel Viet Dinh allegedly called a close associate of Carlson’s on May 3 asking to have a message relayed to Carlson,” the Daily Caller reported Friday.
“Dinh expressed regret at how the previous week had played out in the media, according to two sources, reassuring Carlson’s camp that Fox News had ‘not authorized’ the leaks that led to several negative headlines… Critically, he also confessed, according to the sources, that the network’s leaders suspected a member of the board of directors had been speaking to the press about Tucker without authorization.”
Carlson’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, told the Daily Caller the leaks amounted to a “smear campaign.”
“It strains credulity that, immediately after agreeing to pay almost $780 million to settle serious allegations of misconduct that a member of Fox’s Board of Directors would be engaging in an attempted smear campaign by illegally leaking information about Tucker Carlson,” Freedman said.
“However, we have to trust that it is true when the Chief Legal Officer informs Tucker that he believes it to be the case.”
