NASCAR defends suspending driver for liking a meme about George Floyd

NASCAR is about to become the new Bud Light.

The professional racing league made a huge mistake that will infuriate the fan base.

And NASCAR bent the knee to the woke mob with this insane surrender.

In 2023 major brands learned it no longer paid to virtue signal to the woke left in the culture war as their red-state America customer base learned just how much financial power it possessed.

Bud Light was the first to get smacked in the face with a reality check after partnering with transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney on a marketing campaign.

The beer giant found out the hard way that conservative customers would no longer tolerate major corporations spitting in the face of their values and instantly began boycotting Bud Light.

Regular Americans boycotting Bud Light turned into the financial story of the summer as Bud Light sales plunged over 20 percent, the company laid off workers, and retailers gave up on selling the product as by the end of 2023 Bud Light will no longer be the number-one beer in America.

NASCAR ignored this lesson.

Driver Noah Gragson committed the thought crime of liking a meme on social media that mocked George Floyd.

George Floyd is a holy figure to the American left and his death set off a months-long insurrection that saw Black Lives Matter rioters kill dozens of Americans and inflict nearly two billion dollars of property damage on American cities including burning down a police precinct in Minneapolis.

Since Gragson mocked Floyd his racing team suspended him indefinitely.

“We have made the decision to suspend Noah Gragson effective immediately regarding his actions that do not represent the values of our team,” a statement from the Legacy Motor Club read. “Josh Berry will drive the No. 42 entry for this weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan.”

NASCAR put out their own statement on social media applauding the suspension.

“NASCAR fully supports Legacy Motor Club’s decision to suspend Noah Gragson,” NASCAR’s post read. “Following his actions on social media, NASCAR has determined that Gragson has violated the Member Conduct section of the 2023 NASCAR Rule Book and has placed him under indefinite suspension.”

For his part Gragson groveled for forgiveness from the woke outrage mob.

“I am disappointed in myself for my lack of attention and actions on social media,” Gragson wrote on Twitter. “I understand the severity of this situation. I love and appreciate everyone.”

“I try to treat everyone equally no matter who they are. I messed up plain and simple,” Gragson added.

This is not the first time NASCAR went woke.

Back in 2020 during the George Floyd insurrection NASCAR fully supported Bubba Wallace after Wallace – who is black – falsely claimed someone tied a noose to the door of the garage that housed his car.

The FBI dispatched 15 agents to investigate – far more than appear to be looking into the Joe Biden bribery allegation – and determined the so-called “noose” was just the normal rope used to open and close the garage door.

NASCAR TV ratings were down in the first half of 2023.

There are not a lot of latte-drinking, skinny jeans-wearing, BLM-supporting social justice warriors in New York and California that watch NASCAR.

The league insulting their fans by virtue signaling for Black Lives Matter will not endear it to middle America and the southern fan base it depends on could make NASCAR the new Bud Light.
