Joe Biden’s current CIA director William Burns met with the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein three times in 2014, reports The Wall Street Journal.
The meetings happened while Burns was serving as United States Deputy Secretary of State under Hillary Clinton during the Obama administration.
Burns claims he was unaware of Epstein’s conviction and public reputation as a pedophile.
“Director Burns recalls being introduced by a mutual friend in Washington, DC, and then met with him once briefly in New York City, about a decade ago as the Director was preparing to leave government service,” CIA spokeswoman Tammy Kupperman Thorp said in comment provided to Fox News Digital.
“The Director did not know anything about him, other than he was introduced as an expert in the financial services sector and offered general advice on transition to the private sector. The Director does not recall any further contact, including receiving a ride to the airport. They had no relationship.”
Burns claims that he only met Epstein once at his townhouse and then was driven to the airport.
The documents published by the WSJ showed Epstein had scheduled meetings with numerous members of the elite after his conviction.
Epstein had arranged meetings with former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, Bard College President Leon Botstein, leftist activist Noam Chomsky, movie director Woody Allen, and Joshua Cooper Ramo, the then co-CEO of Henry Kissinger’s consulting firm.
Former President Bill Clinton also claims he was ignorant of Epstein’s crimes.
In 2019, an official statement from The Clinton Foundation claimed Bill “kn[ew] nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty to.”
“Clinton took a total of four trips on Jeffrey Epstein’s airplane,” the statement said. “Staff, supporters of the Foundation, and his Secret Service detail traveled on every trip. He’s not spoken to Epstein in well over a decade, and has never been to Little St. James Island, Epstein’s ranch in New Mexico, or his residence in Florida.”
Epstein’s right-hand woman Ghislaine Maxwell said there was a “special” friendship with Clinton.
“It was a special friendship, which continued over the years,” Maxwell said in an exclusive interview to The Sun. “We had lots in common. I feel bad that he is another victim only because of his association with Jeffrey. I understand he, like others, can no longer consider me as a friend.”
Maxwell was so close to the Clintons, she even attended Chelsea Clinton’s wedding in 2010.
