Joe Rogan Thinks Fox News Will Try To Sideline Tucker Carlson For Next Year

Fox News may have an underhanded way of silencing Tucker Carlson.

And it could throw a wrench into his future plans.

But Joe Rogan thinks this one fact about Tucker Carlson could change everything.

Podcast host Joe Rogan thinks Fox News may be trying to keep former host Tucker Carlson from seeking new ventures for the remainder of his contract.

The Wall Street Journal reported last Monday that Fox News was planning to pay out the remainder of Carlson’s contract.

Rogan, responding to the termination, said it was “very shocking seeing him leave” but that Carlson was “really designed for the internet” rather than cable news.

“He’s going to [be on the internet], unless they’ve paid him off to like — I mean, if I was a person in a position of power and a wildcard like Tucker Carlson got released from Fox News and maybe Rumble makes a deal with him or something like that,” Rogan said.

“Do you have any f***ing idea how big that would be? How big his show, it could make that app, it could make that platform. I mean, if Tucker Carlson goes over there, it’d be worth it for them to invest a considerable amount of money.”

“But if I was Fox News, that’s the last thing I would want,” Rogan said. “So I would make sure that we have him locked up for the entire term of some contract, some no-compete, and pay him off. You’d be better off just giving him the same amount of money he made when he was on the air than you would if he was opposing you.”

“They’re f***ing Fox News, man. They’re smart. They’re not stupid,” said Rogan.

Twitter user @amuse — who authors Politique Republic on Substack — said Carlson’s contract may have 18 months still remaining.

“Tucker Carlson’s contract was signed in Feb 2021 running through Feb 2024 or 25 (The Desk is reporting 2024). As a result, Tucker will be benched throughout much of the presidential election and speculation is that this was done very much on purpose,” @amuse said.

Three sources familiar with the matter said, “executives at the network are trying to keep Carlson on contract and not release him until after the 2024 election,” according to Breitbart News.

But there are signs that Carlson is looking to break his contract. He’s reportedly hired high-powered attorney Bryan Freedman who’s known for filing lawsuits on behalf of clients fired by TV networks.

Don Lemon also hired Freedman after being fired from CNN.
