Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump are the top two competitors for the 2024 GOP Presidential nomination.
But the Democrats witch hunt to throw Donald Trump in jail has all hell breaking loose.
And Ron DeSantis had a reaction to Donald Trump getting arrested that no one saw coming.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg – whom George Soros installed in office – plans to indict and arrest Donald Trump using a made-up legal theory to claim a payment to Stormy Daniels in the 2016 presidential election violated federal campaign finance laws – even though the Department of Justice refused to prosecute Trump on this charge and the Federal Election Commission did not rule it a violation.
DeSantis commented on the looming arrest 48 hours after Trump posted on Truth Social that Bragg planned to arrest him on politically motivated charges.
In his remarks, DeSantis ripped Bragg for being a Soros prosecutor happy to let violent criminals wander the streets while devoting the entire energy of his office into prosecuting Trump on nonsense political charges.
“I’ve seen rumors swirl. I have not seen any facts yet and so I don’t know what’s going to happen. But I do know this: The Manhattan district attorney is a Soros-funded prosecutor,” DeSantis stated.
“He has downgraded over 50 percent of the felonies to misdemeanors,” DeSantis continued.
But then his comments took a strange turn as DeSantis attacked Trump’s character as DeSantis supporters in attendance snickered at Trump’s current predicament.
“I don’t know what goes into paying hush money to a porn star to secure silence over some type of alleged affair. I just I can’t speak to that,” DeSantis added.
DeSantis again attacked Trump giving hush money to a porn star while at the same decrying Bragg for being a Soros-funded prosecutor.
“But what I can speak to is that if you have a prosecutor who is ignoring crimes happening every single day in his jurisdiction, and he chooses to go back many, many years ago, to try to use something about porn star hush money payment,” DeSantis continued.
And in a line that stuck out DeSantis said he was focused on issues that mattered.
“I’ve got so many things pending in front of the legislature. I’ve got to spend my time on issues that actually matter to people. I can’t spend my time worrying about things or things of that nature, so we’re not going to be involved in any way,” DeSantis declared.
Donald Trump Jr. fired back on Twitter expressing bewilderment that DeSantis could say the Democrat Party trying to jail a former president on made-up charges was an issue that did not matter.
War Room host Steve Bannon attacked DeSantis for using weasel words.
“So DeSantis thinks that Dems weaponizing the law to indict President Trump is a ‘manufactured circus’ & isn’t a ‘real issue,’ Trump Jr. posted “Pure weakness.”

Other conservatives thought DeSantis walked the line between attacking Bragg and understanding that Trump is his main competition for the GOP nomination and wanted to appear sympathetic to his plight without throwing a complete lifeline to his opponent.
