Last month, sixteen people on the FBI’s terrorist watchlist were caught trying to enter America illegally along the U.S.-Mexico border.
So far this year, 69 people on the FBI’s terrorist watchlist have been caught attempting to enter the country according to Fox News, making this year on track to break last year’s record of 98 arrests.
In addition, authorities from the CBP Office of Field Operations report they’ve encountered at least 214 people on the Terrorist Screening Database attempting to enter the United States through Mexico or the Canadian border.
Worse, there have been approximately 1.2 million “getaways” and it’s unknown how many of these were also on the terrorist watchlist.
“While the Biden administration feebly attempts to deflect blame for the unmitigated crisis at our Southwest border, feuding cartels are turning the U.S.-Mexico border into a warzone, an unprecedented number of people on the terrorist watchlists are attempting to cross the border, and all semblance of law and order has been lost,” the House Committee on Homeland Security wrote on January 23.
“President Biden’s dangerous and reckless policies are responsible for CBP logging the highest number of migrant encounters for one month on record in December 2022.”
When Chairman Mark Green asked about security on the U.S.-Mexico border last week, Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz testified that the DHS does not have “operational control” of the borders.
“Does DHS have operational control of our entire border?” Green asked.
“No sir,” Ortiz responded.
According to U.S. law, “operational control” is defined as “the prevention of all unlawful entries into the United States, including entries by terrorists, other unlawful aliens, instruments of terrorism, narcotics and other contraband.”
In total, 5.5 million illegal immigrants have been encountered since President Biden took office.
“Some 2.7 million migrants—those who illegally entered or were otherwise inadmissible at a port of entry—were encountered at our borders in FY 2022, bringing the total under President Biden to a whopping 5.5 million,” a report from the Federation for American Immigration Reform revealed.
