Adam Schiff Went on MSNBC and Accidentally Gave Alvin Bragg Some Bad News

Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg got some bad news.

It came from an unexpected source.

And now Adam Schiff just ruined Alvin Bragg with one unbelievable admission.

The House Judiciary Committee held a field hearing in New York City to call attention to the fact that Alvin Bragg is one of the Soros-supported district attorneys taking a kid-gloves approach to crime in America’s biggest city.

Schiff and the other Democrats on the committee did not want the coverage of the hearing to focus on the fact that Soros-backed prosecutors destroyed the quality of life by adopting soft-on-crime policies like ending cash bail and an outright refusal to prosecute violent crimes.

In an interview on MSNBC, Schiff tried to guide the media away from focusing on crime — which is a message that cost Democrats House seats in 2020 and 2022 — and towards the manufactured drama surrounding Trump.

“Jim Jordan took the circus out on the road,” Schiff began.

Schiff then falsely claimed the House Judiciary Committee had no oversight authority over a local prosecutor despite the fact that Bragg admitted his office used federal taxpayer money to partially fund his witch hunt against Donald Trump.

“It just shows what a political stunt it is, and there is no legislative purpose involved. They’re not only hurting their legal cause. But the really doing what they have done for years now, it’s trying to serve as Donald Trump’s criminal defense lawyers,” Schiff continued.

When host Ayman Mohyeldin asked Schiff to explain why the House Judiciary Committee had no oversight authority over the Manhattan district attorney, Schiff jumped right in and claimed Bragg enforces state and local laws while the House Judiciary Committee only has constitutional authority over federal law.

“Absolutely and I served as a federal prosecutor for almost six years. This is unprecedented. You never have a situation where the Congress of the United States decides that a local prosecutor is engaged in a case that Congress does not like so therefore Congress is going to investigate the prosecutor. That never happens because there is sets separation of powers and responsibilities. Local authorities have the power to enforce local and state laws and the Congress has no jurisdiction. They have no power to interfere with that,” Schiff added.

But Schiff unwittingly explained why a judge should throw out Bragg’s indictment of Donald Trump.

By Schiff’s own reasoning – Bragg had no authority to indict Trump.

Bragg upgraded a misdemeanor charge of falsifying business records — where the statute of limitations already expired — against Trump into a felony by claiming Trump concealed a second crime.

In this case, Bragg claimed Trump covered up accepting an illegal campaign contribution in the form of Michael Cohen’s $130,000 nondisclosure agreement payment to Stormy Daniels.

That is a federal crime.

And it’s a federal crime the Department of Justice refused to prosecute.

Alvin Bragg has no authority to enforce federal law and Bragg is claiming Trump committed a second crime that the federal government never charged Trump with.

That is why many experts believe a judge may ultimately throw out Bragg’s indictment.
