New financial records are now in the hands of Republicans investigating the Biden family.
Thousands of pages of suspicious business activity have been made available.
And this visit to the Treasury uncovered information that has Joe Biden shaking.
Six more members of the Biden clan have come under scrutiny after House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) and other GOP members paid a visit to the Treasury Department on Monday.
After months of the Treasury Department dragging their feet on providing access, the committee was finally able to view “suspicious activity reports” (SARs) related to the Biden family and their financially-linked associates.
“Thousands of pages of financial records related to the Biden family, their companies, and associates’ business schemes were made available to members of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, which confirm the importance of this investigation,” Comer said in a statement Monday afternoon.
“The Biden family enterprise is centered on Joe Biden’s political career and connections, and it has generated an exorbitant amount of money for the Biden family,” Comer said.
After reviewing documents, Comer said the panel “identified six additional members of Joe Biden’s family who may have benefited from the Biden family’s businesses that we are investigating, bringing the total number of those involved or benefiting to nine.”
“The Oversight Committee will continue to pursue additional bank records to follow the Bidens’ tangled web of financial transactions to determine if the Biden family has been targeted by foreign actors and if there is a national security threat,” Comer said, vowing to “soon provide the public with more information about what we’ve uncovered to date.”
He added: “The American people need transparency and accountability, and the Oversight Committee will deliver much needed answers.”
In March, House Republicans alleged that an energy company linked to the Chinese Communist Party had been the source of more than $1 million dollars in payments to various Biden family bank accounts.
The House Oversight Committee said a recent subpoena of financial statements showed that Biden associate Rob Walker had received $3 million directly from State Energy HK Limited out of Shanghai on March 1, 2017 and then distributed $1,065,000 on March 2, 2017 to other members of the Biden family.
So far the only family members to be publicly identified of receiving funds linked to China is James Biden (uncle to Hunter), Hunter, and now Hallie Biden – who is the widow of Beau (Hunter’s brother) and dated Hunter after her husband’s death.
White House spokesman Ian Sams dismissed the committee’s findings calling it an “attack” on the President’s family, but specifically on Hallie.
“After a disgusting attack lamenting that the President’s deceased son Beau was never prosecuted while he was alive, Congressman Comer has now decided to go after Beau’s widow,” Sams said, according to The New York Post.
“Instead of bizarrely attacking the President’s family, perhaps House Republicans should focus on working with the President to deliver results for American families on important priorities like lowering costs and strengthening health care.”
