New York Prosecutors Indicate Criminal Charges Coming For Donald Trump

by x82hPEs

Democrats are doing everything within their powers to put Trump behind bars.

Even after all their failures, they just can’t quit.

Now the Democrats dropped a huge hint that Donald Trump will face criminal charges.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg’s office has signaled that former President Donald Trump could face criminal charges for the $130,000 payment made to adult actress Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential election.

Former Trump attorney Michael Cohen pled guilty to felony charges regarding Daniels getting paid $130,000 in hush money.

Now the Manhattan District Attorney’s office has offered Trump the chance to testify next week before the grand jury sitting on the potential case, according to the New York Times.

The Times reported that the offer for Trump to testify “almost always indicates an indictment is close” as it would be “unusual” for a district attorney to give such notice “without ultimately seeking charges.”

“The Manhattan District Attorney’s threat to indict President Trump is simply insane,” a spokesman for Trump said in a statement. “It’s an embarrassment to the Democrat prosecutors, and it’s an embarrassment to New York City.”

Trump responded to the New York Times report saying he did “nothing wrong,” calling the case a “Witch-Hunt.”

“I did absolutely nothing wrong,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post last Thursday.

“I never had an affair with Stormy Daniels, nor would I have wanted to have an affair with Stormy Daniels,” he went on.

“This is a political Witch-Hunt, trying to take down the leading candidate, by far, in the Republican Party while at the same time also leading all Democrats in the polls,” Trump argued, stating that the case was “extortion.”

The former President went on to allege the Justice Department had placed “top DOJ prosecutors into the Manhattan District Attorney’s office in order to ‘get Trump.’”

“This is not a state case, it is a federal case, and they have all passed on it,” Trump said.

“Even the previous Manhattan DA, Cyrus Vance, did not bring charges because I am guilty of nothing except for the fact that I am beating all Republicans and Democrats badly in the Presidential race,” he added.

Federal prosecutors in New York ended their campaign finance investigation into hush money payments back in 2019 without pressing charges against Trump.
