Nancy Pelosi All Smiles as GOP Turncoat Liz Cheney Gets Key Democrat Appointment

Republicans in the House are working to strip Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney of her GOP caucus membership.

But never fear, the Democrats are happy to welcome the RINO over into their fold.

And Nancy Pelosi is all smiles after the GOP turncoat was given this key Democrat appointment.

While thousands of Americans and U.S. allies are left to fend for their lives in Afghanistan, House Democrats are still focused on the January 6th Capitol Hill riot.

And playing right into their hands is Wyoming’s joke of a Congresswoman, Liz Cheney.

Which is why Democrat Congressman Bennie Thompson of Mississippi announced last week that he’s named Cheney as the Vice Chairman of the committee tasked with investigating the Jan. 6 riot.

The announcement came just one day after several Republican members of Congress called for Cheney to be removed from the House Republican caucus.

“Representative Cheney has demonstrated again and again her commitment to getting answers about January 6th, ensuring accountability, and doing whatever it takes to protect democracy for the American people,” Thompson announced.

“Her leadership and insights have shaped the early work of the Select Committee, and this appointment underscores the bipartisan nature of this effort.”

By “bipartisan nature,” Thompson means having GOP turncoat Cheney and another never-conservative, Illinois Congressman Adam Kinzinger, on the committee.

Cheney and Kinzinger are the only Republicans serving on the January 6 panel, which was only was established after the Senate passed on plans for a bipartisan commission back in May.

As usual, the upper chamber got it right, while the lower chamber pushes forward with their hair-brained schemes to satiate the radical left.

Because, as readers of Deep State Journal know, while the events of January 6 were certainly a stain on our sincere movement for liberty, it was in no way an insurgency, armed insurrection, or any of the other things the left is claiming.

The only death was that of Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt who was shot by an out-of-control Capitol Hill police officer for no apparent reason.

The real crime, in addition to the killing of Babbitt, is the dozens of American citizens being held on minor misdemeanors.

The Jan. 6 panel has since ramped up its investigation efforts by requesting communications data from cell phone and social media companies, as well as from federal agencies regarding former President Trump and his allies’ alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy issued a stern warning to the social media and cell phone companies, cautioning them that providing communications records to the panel is a violation of federal law and the Republican House majority “will not forget.”

Cheney responded to McCarthy saying she will not be “deterred by threats or attempted obstruction.”

“Every member of this committee is dedicated to conducting a non-partisan, professional, and thorough investigation of all the relevant facts regarding January 6th and the threat to our Constitution we faced that day,” Cheney said.

“I have accepted the position of Vice-Chair of the committee to assure that we achieve that goal.”

Both Kinzinger and Cheney are facing calls to be removed from the GOP caucus and are up against very serious opposition in next year’s GOP primaries.
