To say the COVID crackdowns have gone too far is not an understatement.
While we aren’t to the point of Australia yet, some worry we might be headed there fast.
And now, those infected in this conservative southern state could face jail time.
You’ve heard the questions: “How did the German people let that happen?”, or, “How did people let Hitler and the Nazi’s get away with it?”, or, “Didn’t the Russian people see what Stalin was doing? Why didn’t they stop him?”
Well, now you know.
The American people are witnessing in real time how despots and dictators like Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, and Mao were able to seize power.
Simply put, because the people let them. In most cases, willingly.
Usually in the name of safety or a “better life.”
Look around you today. You see people driving alone in their cars wearing a mask, maybe even two. Why? Because some government official told them to.
Or because some Hollywood actor says they should.
You see lines of people waiting to get jabbed with an experimental vaccine that’s been on the market for less than a year, but is now “approved” by the FDA.
You see hundreds of businesses closed, some for good, all because of arbitrary shutdowns and mandates.
All because of a virus that’s less deadly than the yearly flu.
Now, in conservative Mississippi, they’ve taken it a step further.
The Magnolia State, once thought to be one of the most conservative of the 50 states, has imposed a new order for anyone infected with COVID-19 to isolate at home or face criminal charges and jail time.
The Mississippi State Department of Health issued the order last Friday, which took effect immediately.
“All persons residing in Mississippi must immediately home-isolate on first knowledge of infection with COVID-19,” State Health officer Dr. Thomas Dobbs wrote in the “isolation order.”
“The failure or refusal to obey the lawful order of a health officer is, at a minimum, a misdemeanor” punishable by a $500 fine and/or six months in jail, Dobbs wrote, adding that “if a life-threatening disease is involved” the charges could rise to a felony punishable by up to $5,000 and/or five years behind bars.
Dobbs also wrote that infected people undergoing isolation at home should avoid contact with other household members.
Of course, he urged Mississippi residents, including the infected, to wear masks, even though all reports indicate they do not work.
That is because the mask order, just like the isolation and lockdown orders, have nothing to do with safety or health, and all to do with control.
If they can get the people of Mississippi to comply with unscientific, freedom crushing, unconstitutional orders all in the name of “safety,” we are likely in the last throes of our great Republic.
It is time for us to rise up and take back our nation before it’s too late.
