The Trump administration has been nothing if not bold in their actions over the last four years.
President Trump has made no secret of his disdain for the mainstream media and their negative coverage of him.
But now they’ve taken to ignoring even historic news like the new initiative Trump announced last week.
There are many urgent and important issues facing our nation today.
From the response to the Chinese-spread coronavirus to the increasing violence and terrorism from Antifa and BLM, America is truly at a crossroads in our history.
These next weeks could decide if our nation can even go on as a constitutional republic and if average Americans can still feel safe in their communities and even their own homes.
But there are other problems that have been going on for years without a solution in sight.
These range from bloated government spending, high taxes, and forced unionism to forced taxpayer-funded abortions, child pornography, and human trafficking.
When it comes to child pornography, pedophiles, and human trafficking in the United States and around the world, no other president has done more than President Trump.
But you’d never know it from the lack of media coverage.
The truth is that under President Trump’s administration, the number of victims rescued from human trafficking in the U.S. alone has gone up year after year.
In just 2020, hundreds of women and children have been rescued from trafficking by U.S. Marshals and others in law enforcement.
Now the Trump administration has created a new department that will focus specifically on these efforts.
Last Tuesday, U.S. Department of Homeland Security Acting Secretary Chad Wolf announced the opening of the Center for Countering Human Trafficking.
While the Department of Homeland Security is not one of our favorite departments, this is something they absolutely should be actively involved in.
And this first-ever integrated law enforcement operations center is dedicated solely to supporting federal criminal investigations, victim assistance efforts, intelligence analysis, outreach, and training activities to fight human trafficking, forced labor, forced prostitution, and modern day slavery.
But, you probably didn’t hear about it because the news conference was attended by only a handful of reporters.
And when it came time for questions, not a single reporter had a question to ask. Not one.
Not one question about one of the most important issues facing us today.
The scourge of human trafficking effects Americans from all walks of life, from every state in the nation.
You’d think the mainstream media, just once, could have enough integrity to swallow their hatred of Trump and actually report real news. And real good news at that.
Shame on them for turning a blind eye.
